Progress photos you can compare

How should I take gym progress photos?

Use the same distance, light, and pose, log weight and tape, and compare checks weeks apart. Arvo Check keeps that timeline. A single selfie is not a body-fat lab test.

Progress-photo SERPs are not food-diary SERPs. Yazio tracks weight inside the diary. Lifters also want front/side shots next to the sessions and meals of that week.

Check is that log: a check with photos and measurements, later a comparison. Analysis uses consent and a monthly quota from your plan — we do not print a Free/Pro number here because the live limit is the feature matrix, not a marketing guess.

A useful check

  1. 1. Match conditions

Same time of day, similar light, same stance. Otherwise the photo lies.

  2. 2. Add numbers

Scale and tape belong with the photos. A shot without a measurement is harder to read later.

  3. 3. Compare later

Open two checks. Notes and existing analyses stay on those checks; starting a new analysis is a separate action.

Not the body-fat calculator

Navy-method body fat lives on the body-composition calculator. Check is the history of your photos and tape, plus optional analysis of a check you already saved.

FAQ

Does a photo give an exact body-fat %?

No. Treat photo analysis as a comment on the check you saved, not a DEXA result.

Is Check only for coaches?

Athletes log their own checks. Coaches see a client’s checks when the relationship is active.

Do I need Fuel to use Check?

No. They share the week in the product, but a check does not require a food diary.
